I have been asked to take part in CALIFORNIA HISTORY DAY 2012.

This event is for all 5th graders in Amador County. This will take place On May 17th at the Kennedy Gold Mine in Jackson, over 400 students and 100 teachers and parents attended last year.

There will be 25 Stations all with different activities :

Miwuk language

Rope making

Candle making

Mountainmen history

Civil war history

Pine needle work

Cooking acorns

Native dancing

and many more also this year Soapstone Carving. This will be a good chance for me to get my carving kits into more school programs. For more information: pinesrus@volcano.net
